"I have always worked in the Financial Services sector and moved onto the mortgage side in 1995. I have advised clients on mortgages in the local area since then, and I love my job. There is a lot of satisfaction in helping someone buy their first home or moving into the house of their dreams. It is lovely walking around the streets of Kendal and being greeted by clients that I have helped or having someone that I helped in a previous job track me down for their next move.

I live in Slyne, near Lancaster and have 2 children, 2 stepchildren and 4 grandchildren. Sadly, only one of them lives locally, and my son is in America, but I love to spend time with the grandchildren whenever possible. When I am not in the office, I like to get out walking in the local area, and I am very involved with the local Church. I very much enjoy singing in the Lakes Gospel Choir, but strictly in the back row of the chorus!"

"I have worked as a mortgage adviser since 2005. It has been extremely rewarding becoming a mortgage broker as having access to the whole of market has allowed me to help so many more clients, new and old. There is no greater compliment than being tracked down by someone I have helped when with a previous employer.

I live in Kendal with my husband and two children who both attend schools locally. I also have three grown-up stepchildren which makes our house very busy at Christmas! When I am not in the office, I enjoy family walks in the local area as well as attending various sporting clubs with the children. Purely as a spectator, of course!"
